And this Diesel coat goes perfectly with my new hat from FOREVER21.   So I paired them with my favorite Nike snickers and classic black t-shirt and orange socks to make complete outfit more special. I went to city center and found a prefect street that is not overcrowded but still has a charm and match my outfit.  Lately I love to match interesting and colorful socks with all kind of prints with my outfits. Usually I wear happy socks. Everyone who haven’t  heard for this brand please go and check them out. You will love their positive and “happy” approach on something we use in everyday life. Thank you once again for reading this blog post and please, tell me what do you think about my styling ?Do you have your favorite winter coat?  Feel free to comment and share your ideas, I’m more then happy to hear all about […]

How to pack like a pro?

by The father of Djordje @ The father of Djordje

I hate packing, ok I said it! Now we all can move on! Everyone who knows me knows that! My history of moving/traveling/packing/unpacking is long and painful. So painful that I decided to write a post about it. As I’m trying to be more organized and an example for all of you I pulled out some tricks I start to use, day by day.  We all know that big change don’t happen over night but even a small step forward on a topic like this will reduce your stress and give you time and space for more important things – like planing your itinerary. Packing before I started blogging vs. packing after I started blogging looks VERY different! Here are my secretes  I’ve been collecting  for more then 5 year.  USED TO DO I was always leaving packing for the last night / morning depends on my flight. This made whole situation even more stressful and deep down made me hate packing even more.  MY ADVICE Pack your stuff at least two days before the flight. That will give you calm and peace without putting unnecessary pressure before the trip even begin.  USED TO DO I used to overpack my luggage with […]

Plane wreck can be beautiful – only in Iceland

by The father of Djordje @ The father of Djordje

When I started a blog I didn’t think one day I’ll write a post about plane wreck ! Who would ever want to visit place like that ? Well, Iceland surprise even on that topic. Some flights go down over remote, inaccessible spots that make it difficult to recover the remains. Other planes are left as memorial to those who died in the crash. No matter the reason for their abandonment, many of the hidden wrecks can be visited by anyone with a drive for adventure. Once a symbol of the golden age of air travel, a Douglas Super DC-3 airplane lies forgotten on a deserted black beach in Iceland – untouched since it crashed more than four decades ago. The most common theory is either that the plane crashed because it ran out of the fuel or because the pilot accidentally switched to the wrong fuel tank. The plane was one of four Douglas Dakotas based at the US Navy based in Keflavík, which was important military base during the Cold War. The base was closed in 2006 when the US Navy left.  It’s tail and wings are gone and it’s windows are all smashed but it’s still more then breathtaking attraction. Stay […]

A black outfit for the Spring?

by The father of Djordje @ The father of Djordje

Many new things coming in 2017. for me and my profession development. I’m super excited and I want to share all the happy moments from my life with you, my dear readers! As you probably know I expended my blog on “lifestyle” and “fashion” part. Why? Why not ! I know there are many of you who will enjoy it and  above all I like to dress nice ! It’s win win situation When you dress like winner people tend to respect you more. In psychology, this is known as “the hallo effect”. If you look great and you take care of your appearance, then people assume that you are someone who deserves their respect – someone who is also successful, reliable, and kind. I have to stop, I know, because fashion posts should be about fashion not psychology. That’s my problem I like to write and write…  Spring has come to my country, Croatia and the capital, Zagreb, became beautiful as never. So my first “dressed to impress ” combination I pulled out, few weeks ago, teamed with my friend it’s all about black pieces.        We used the park next to my apartment as scene and I tried to brought […]

Don’t miss it – short Istanbul guide

by The father of Djordje @ The father of Djordje

Istanbul is one of the most vibrant and interesting places in the world and only city that is situated between two continents. All this gave Istanbul special charm that will expand all your senses and make you come back for more. I had Istanbul, for long time on my bucket list but somehow each time plans failed and I end up not going. Finally, this time we made connection.  From now on I definitely have special place for this city in my heart.  One of the keys to understand Istanbul is to experience the extreme difference between the West and East.    Explore Istanbul’s most interesting neighborhood – Arnavutköy Well, I know Istanbul has more then one cool neighborhood but this time I’ll write about Aranvutköy. A historic neighborhood famous for wooden Ottoman mansions and seafood restaurants, located on the European shoreline of the Bosphorus. Don’t forget to walk around the homes behind those that front the waterfront as this neighborhood has so much to offer ! Most picturesque houses are hidden all over this quite neighborhood. Just wait to show you what I have found there! Take a ride with a ferry boat   Along the tram, metro and taxi ; ferry is one […]

Surfing lessons from Bali

by The father of Djordje @ The father of Djordje

Do you remember that feeling of driving without an instructor for the first time? Or riding a bike, landing a job, your first kiss, getting a good grade? First catching a green wave gives you that profound sensation of achieving something new, but it’s amplified by a million things. As the first surfers blazed their trails; expressing their freedom and exploring coastlines, they were often misunderstood and outcast. Much less appreciate that guys were out hunting for waves instead of working 9-5 jobs, so surfers were branded abnormal and lazy among other things. But In the 90s bleach-blonde surfer bum was the definition of ‘cool’. There were half a dozen surf mags on the shelves and every other t-shirt was covered in Californian surf prints; surf boards, palm trees, campervans. Along with the rest of my generation, my perception of surfing was lead by the media, brands and fashions, rather than the sport or lifestyle itself. I had a romantic notion of surfing in my head, but that’s all it really was, I was in love with the idea of surfing. For years I’ve been dreaming of a remote beach in the middle of the ocean where I can get off the radar and enjoy robinson’s life! My first connection with surfing […]

Istanbul – photo diary

by The father of Djordje @ The father of Djordje

In my last post I pointed out some useful informations about what to do and where to go in Istanbul. I didn’t go in details, I’ll for sure come back for longer period in the near future. Four days weren’t enough to explore rich history of this multicultural city. But no matter how chaotic it gets, you can’t deny that Istanbul is one of the most fascinating cities on the planet.  You don’t believe me ? Then stay and go with me to a photo journey. Everything what I missed in last post you will find in following pictures ; food, fresh fruits, people, shopping, rooftops and many more.  Hope you will enjoy it ! Especially because this trip is very special to me and any feedback is more then welcome!     If you have some useful tips or interesting story from you trip to Istanbul feel free to share it ! I’m happy to hear all about it ! Till then dream big my lovely travelers! love Marko x

Parisian doorways

by The father of Djordje @ The father of Djordje

Well Paris you made me love you from the first time I’ve visited, 3 years ago, but love on a second sight was something special. There is so much beauty on every corner; architecture, stunning parks, restaurants and vibrant doorways. Paris don’t let anyone down. This time gorgeous doors along the Parisian streets caught my attention and in less then  a week I found myself with a camera full of it. So next logical thing was to write a post. It’s simple.  I feel like doors can have a personality of their own. My father was a carpenter and I remember watching him make all kinds of wooden doors many times. He put his time and skills to creat something that we use in everyday life. Sometimes we don’t even notice things around us, but while you are in Paris stop for a second and enjoy this works of art.  There are beautiful doors in almost every  arrondissement but I loved to explore ones in Latin Quarter, Le Marais, Saint-Germain-des-Pres and of course in lovely Montmartre.  I wanted to show you another side of Paris that is not Eiffel Tower or some other major attraction. Life’s beauty is in “small” things. […]
